Fauxstess Cupcakes

I was on the quite the cupcake phase for a while! Now, I'm just scouring over blogs making a list of baked goods I want to make once I have access to a kitchen again! (Blueberry Pie cookies, anyone?)

If I tried hard enough, I'm sure I'd be able to find somewhere to bake but for now I'm too lazy and instead stare at my computer screen. (I read a great quote the other day-- "Remember when lazy was an insult and not an emotion?")

Banana Split Cupcakes

5 months later... I'm finally posting! I got an IPhone so I'm now using Instagram for a lot of my food pictures!

I made these cupcakes about two weeks ago for a birthday dinner! Everyone seemed to love them- they are one of my favorite cupcakes for sure! Plus they taste super light so you feel less guilty eating them. Enjoy :)

Coffee Cake

I woke up this morning with the urge to bake coffee cake as I had just discovered a great new recipe. Unfortunately, I did not have any sour cream so I had to put off that recipe... but it led to finding this awesome coffee cake!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream

I broke out the ice cream maker again this weekend. But, I was torn between doing birthday cake ice cream and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. I finally settled on chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and it turned out great!

Brownie-Chocolate Chip Cookies

Happy New Year everyone!
I kicked off 2012 with my favorite- cookies. I seem to get into a pattern of baking.. For a while, I'll be into cupcakes, then cookies, then cake balls, and now, I'm back at cookies. I went with a classic Picky Palate recipe to continue my cookie craze.

Apple Pie

I was in charge of desserts this year for Thanksgiving-- but I have never made an apple pie before. I knew apple pie is the star of Thanksgiving so I couldn't mess it up. My first attempt was not the best so on Thanksgiving day I scrambled to fix another one. (Note: always have something under the pie pan to catch drippings- I learned the hard way as my oven caught on fire). I was very pleased with my second attempt and would recommend the recipe to everyone!

Caramel Apple Cider Cookies

In the fall time, I always start craving the apple flavor-- so when I saw these cookies on Foodgawker I knew I had to make them. They did not disappoint on the apple cider flavor but I was a little bummed with how the caramel turned out. Right out of the oven, the caramel was soft and chewable, but once the cookies sat for a few hours, the caramel became almost inedible. I would recommend not using the caramel, as the actual cookie part was good enough to stand on its own.
